What Work is Taking Place?
To accelerate construction, crews will work extended hours Monday – Saturday from 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m. for approximately seven (7) months. During this time, noise from construction activities, including excavation, concrete works, welding, and material loading can be expected. To minimize disruption, hauling activities will take place between 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. only.
Hours of Work
- As early as Thursday July 9, 2020
- Extended hours work will take place Monday – Saturday from 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m.
- The contractor may not always work during these hours but may do so at its discretion
- This work may be longer or shorter than expected

What to Expect
- Noise from construction activities, including excavation, concrete works, welding, and material loading can be expected
- Access to the TTC Eglinton West Subway Station will be maintained at all times
- The Eglinton West Station bus loop will remain closed through to late-Summer 2020
- Trucks will stage within the work zones and laydown area off Allen Road South
Traffic & Pedestrian Details
- The current traffic configuration and pedestrian routes at Cedarvale Station are expected to remain in place for the duration this work
Travelling Smart during Construction
Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
