Construction of the Eglinton Crosstown is underway along Eglinton Avenue at Allen Road, which means some restrictions for motorists and pedestrians.

Motorists can expect delays with only one westbound lane providing access northbound on Allen Road. Along Eglinton, traffic is reduced to one lane in either direction in this area. Access onto and exiting Allen Road will be busier than usual for many months as the new Crosstown line is being built.

Motorists should consider Avenue Road, Bathurst or Yonge Streets as alternate north/south travel options.

The pedestrian crossing signal also changed so that the green light – providing access northbound onto Allen Road – coincides with the pedestrian crossing light creating some delays for pedestrians travelling to and leaving Eglinton West Station. This configuration is being reviewed by Metrolinx and the City of Toronto.

Metrolinx regrets the inconvenience this work has caused for motorists and pedestrians in the area.

See construction map for latest traffic restrictions.
