What Work is Taking Place?
As early as September 11, 2018, crews will begin watermain investigation and hydro duct bank installation at Forest Hill Station. Due to the location of these activities, in the roadway on Eglinton Avenue West and Bathurst Street, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane only between Hilltop Road and Old Forest Hill Road, while this work takes place. Traffic control personnel will be used to alternate traffic in each direction. To minimize the impact to TTC and road users, this work will be performed at night between September 2018 until mid October 2018.
Hours of Work
- September 11, 2018 until October 12, 2018 (non-consecutive nights)
- 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday
- Work may be delayed or extended due to unforeseen circumstances or inclement weather
Construction Staging
What to Expect
- Traffic on Eglinton Ave W will be reduced to one (1) lane only, alternating in each direction
- Traffic will be controlled by a Paid Duty Officer and/or traffic control personnel
- Delays can be expected when travelling through the intersection
- Noise from construction activity and site lighting can be expected

- No work between 11:00 p.m. on Wed September 19 and 7:00 a.m. on Thurs September 20
- No work between 11:00 p.m. on Mon September 24 and 7:00 a.m. on Tues September 25
- No work between 11:00 p.m. on Tues September 25 and 7:00 a.m. on Wed September 26
- No work between 11:00 p.m. on Mon October 1 and 7:00 a.m. on Tues October 2
- No work between 8:00 p.m. on Tues October 2 and 7:00 a.m. on Wed October 3
