CANCELLED - Intersection Closure for Overnight Concrete Pour at Bathurst St and Eglinton Ave W - June 21, 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

An intersection closure of Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West is required to complete a large concrete pour, which will form part of the roof at Forest Hill Station. The closure has been confirmed for Friday June 21st, 2019; with a rain date of Friday June 28th, 2019.

There will be a second closure for an additional concrete pour in July 2019. The date of the second proposed closure will be confirmed in a future notice. Read more »

UPDATE: Concrete Pour at Mount Pleasant Station Wednesday, June 19, 2019

 

On Wednesday, June 19th, crews will perform a concrete pour in the southeast work zone at Mt Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue.  The concrete will form part of the roof of Mount Pleasant Station.  A concrete pump will be set up within the work zone, and concrete trucks will stage on the south side of Eglinton Avenue, east of Taunton Road, while this work takes place.  To ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour, work will begin early at 5:00 a.m. Read more »

Upcoming Berwick Avenue Road Closures for TTC Line 1 Facility Service Building Construction - July 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

In July 2019, crews will conduct a series of closures of Berwick Avenue between Duplex Avenue and Yonge Street to perform supporting construction activities for TTC’s Line 1 Subway Facility Services Building.  Due to the location of the new building, the work can only be carried out safely while the subway is not in operation.  Please see below the schedules of road closure and subway closure in July.

Crews will refresh the crosswalk line markings on Eglinton Ave W between Oriole Parkway and Braemar Avenue. East/west crosswalks and north/south crosswalks will be refreshed.

To minimize disruption, this work will occur overnight.

Update: RAIL DELIVERY & LANE REDUCTION AT CALEDONIA STATION

What Work is Taking Place?

On Monday, June 17th 2019, crews at Caledonia Station will begin unloading and storing the rails for installation in the tunnels. Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one (1) lane travelling westbound from Blackthorne Ave to the entry of the Westside Mall for approximately three (3) weeks.

Crane Installation at Fairbank Station - June 15 - 21, 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

On Saturday June 15, crews will re-install the crane behind Fairbank station’s main entrance site on Vaughan Rd to accommodate for upcoming lifting operations. This crane will be in place for approximately one (1) week. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while work takes place.

 

Hours of Work 

  • Crane installation will take place as early as Saturday June 15, and remain in place for approximately one (1) week.
