Overnight Traffic Change at Mount Pleasant Station Wednesday, September 4, 2019

On Wednesday September 4, a new traffic configuration will be implemented at Mount Pleasant Station. Traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be shifted to the south side, and traffic on Mount Pleasant Road will remain on the west. Traffic on Eglinton Avenue E will travel around the island in the middle of Eglinton Ave E and Taunton Road. The north-south crosswalk on the east side of Eglinton Avenue will remain closed, and the crosswalk on the west side of Eglinton Avenue will be open. This configuration will be in place for approximately four (4) weeks until late September 2019.  Read more »

Upcoming Berwick Avenue Road Closures for TTC Line 1 Facility Service Building Construction - September 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

In September 2019, crews will conduct a series of closures of Berwick Avenue between Duplex Avenue and Yonge Street to perform supporting construction activities for TTC’s Line 1 Subway Facility Services Building. Due to the location of the new building, the work can only be carried out safely while the subway is not in operation. Please see below the schedules of road closure and subway closure in September. Truck Staging at Leaside Station

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

To facilitate deep excavation currently underway at Leaside Station, construction vehicles will periodically occupy the eastbound curb lane of Roehampton Avenue, west of Bayview Avenue. Truck staging in this location will not block any driveways or entrances to businesses.

Update: East Bound Left Turn Temporarily Closed at Rosemount

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the ongoing works to build the LRT system along Eglinton Avenue East, crews  will continue work with stage 2 at Massey Creek.

Preparatory work began in late February 2019 includes tree removals, dewatering of wells and deep excavation. Crews will be excavating nine and half (9.5) meters deep and replacing the storm water culvert.

UPDATE: 

The east bound left turn will be temporarily closed as of Monday, August 26th due to utility relocation. Read more »

Tree Removal on Eglinton Avenue East at the West Don River Bridge

In support of the continued construction of the Crosstown LRT tracks and guideway (dedicated transit lane) in the centre of Eglinton Avenue East, tree removal is required for four (4) trees in close proximity to the construction zone at the West Don River Bridge. Read more »

Overnight Water Shut off August 28, 2019 7:00 PM — 5:00 AM at Massey Creek

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the ongoing works to replace the existing culvert at Massey Creek, crews will be upgrading and relocating wet utilities.

An overnight water shut off is required during these works.  It will occur on Wednesday August 28 from 7 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Guideway Construction on Eglinton Avenue East at Leslie Street

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

Lanes will be realigned to accommodate guideway construction on Eglinton Avenue East at Leslie St. Traffic is expected to change to the configuration depicted below as early as August 28, 2019 and will remain in place until mid-November, 2019. For this stage, two eastbound-to-northbound lanes will be restored and westbound traffic moved to the north of Eglinton Avenue East. Read more »
