Overnight Sanitary Sewer Relocation for Brentcliffe Portal

What Work is Taking Place?

Crews will relocate an existing sanitary sewer line on Eglinton Avenue East between Brentcliffe Road and Leslie Street to support the upgrade of existing infrastructure at the future Brentcliffe Portal and Sunnybrook Park Stop. 

To minimize traffic disruption for the community, transit users and local businesses, this work is being done overnight. Paid Duty Police Officers will maintain safe traffic flow. Read more »

Traffic Change at Latimer & Eglinton for Chaplin Station Construction

What Work is Taking Place?

Since spring 2016, crews have been performing utilities relocation and support of excavation (shoring) in the vicinity of Chaplin Crescent and Eglinton Avenue West.  

As early as October 28, 2017, the work zone configuration will change in order to begin shoring and utility work (hydro, sewer) on the north side of Eglinton, while work continues on the south side of Eglinton.  Read more »

Early Morning Concrete Pour at Cedarvale Station for Crossover Track Roof Construction


  • With the invert concrete slab now complete at the crossover track section east of Cedarvale Station, the next phase is pouring the roof slab. The roof slab will be poured in sections. 
  • Due to the large size of these concrete pours, work will start at 4AM in order to complete the pour during the daytime hours, avoiding late overnight work. 
  • The first pour was successfully completed on October 12.

Eglinton Lane Reduction for Cedarvale Station Utility Work

What Work is Taking Place?

  • To accommodate the continued utility works for Cedarvale Station, crews will reduce eastbound Eglinton Avenue from Park Hill Road to Allen Road to one lane to access two maintenance manholes.


  • The lane reduction is scheduled for October 23 – 27 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily to reduce impact on peak traffic hours.
  • Work may be delayed due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Change at Fairbank Station

  • Since fall 2016, crews have been conducting support of excavation work (also known as shoring) at the Main Entrance and Service Building sites of the future Fairbank Station.  In the spring, crews began shoring of the station box, as well as wet utilities relocation, on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West.
