The Eglinton Crosstown is a transit project that will provide rapid and reliable service across Eglinton Avenue including an underground central section and will be up to 60% faster than bus service today.
What: Crews will perform some core holes for quality testing at the Oakwood headwall locations.
Where: The work zone will be on the north west side of Eglinton Avenue West and Oakwood Avenue.
When: Starting as early as Friday, July 11, 2014 for two to three weeks, crews will perform some holes for quality testing.
Traffic Details
- Traffic will be shifted to the south side of Eglinton Avenue West and Oakwood Avenue.
- Traffic will be reduced to one lane in the westbound direction. Traffic will remain as two lanes in the eastbound direction.
- No on-street parking will be allowed within the work zone area
- Pedestrian walkways will remain open
Work Hours
The hours of work as permitted by the by-law for this contract are between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., 7 days a week, when required. The contractor will not always work during the extended hours, but may do so at its discretion.
