What Work is Taking Place?

On Monday June 15, 2020, crews will install a crane on Vaughan Road adjacent to the Fairbank Station Main Entrance site. The crane will remain in place for approximately two weeks to assist with lifting and hoisting activities at the future station’s Main Entrance.

Hours of Work

  • The crane will be erected as early as Monday June 15, 2020
  • The crane will be in place for approximately two weeks, from Monday June 15 until Monday June 29, 2020
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected

What to Expect

  • Vaughan Rd will be closed at the top of the street (at Fairbank Station Main Entrance)
  • Noise from crane operation can be expected
  • Local and pedestrian access will be maintained
  • Property access will be maintained
  • Expect delays while travelling near work zones

Traffic & Pedestrian Details

  • Approximately three parking spaces at the end of Vaughan Rd will be temporarily displaced
  • The traffic configuration and pedestrian routes at the intersection will remain the same
  • Access to properties along Vaughan Road, Eglinton Avenue West, and Dufferin Street will be maintained

Transit Information

  • No impacts to TTC bus service

Travelling Smart during Construction

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
