What Work is Taking Place?

Crews at Fairbank station continue to use the crane installed on Vaughan Road adjacent to the Main Entrance site. Over the weekend, beginning on Friday August 21, the crane will remain in place to assist with lifting and hoisting activities. Following this weekend, crane activities will continue to take place Monday to Friday.

 

What to Expect

Vaughan Rd will be closed at the top of the street (at Fairbank Station Main Entrance). Access to properties along Eglinton Ave W, Dufferin St, and Dynevor Rd will be maintained. Noise from crane operation can be expected.

 

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

  • Vaughan Road will remain closed at the top of the street. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained.
  • Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W will remain open.
  • All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations

 

HOURS OF WORK

  • The weekend of August 21; ongoing work on weekdays.
  • The crane will be in operation during regular working hours at Fairbank station, from as early as 6:00am until 11:00pm
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected.

 

OTHER IMPACTS

  • Noise from construction equipment such as loading materials, truck traffic and construction vehicles.
