What Work is Taking Place?
Crews have begun decommissioning monitoring wells across the alignment. The wells served as part of the Geotechnical Instrumentation and Monitoring Program (GIMP). Crews will be decommissioning wells as far as west of Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue West, and work their way as far east as Kennedy Road. The wells will be decommissioned in sections. Some wells will require temporary lane reductions in the area. When a lane reduction is required, one lane will remain open, and two-way traffic will be controlled by traffic control personnel and Paid Duty Officers.
Lebovic Avenue to Midland Avenue
As early as Thursday April 30, crews will move into this area. Decommissioning each well will take approximately two hours. Upon completion, crews will move onto the next well, beginning at Lebovic Avenue working their way east towards Midland Avenue.
