What Work is Taking Place?

On Thursday May 25, crews will move the drill rig located at the Main Entrance east to the Secondary Entrance.  The drill rig will exit the Main Entrance and travel in reverse along Eglinton Avenue East, crossing Mt. Pleasant Road, over to the Secondary Entrance.  Additionally, a crane will lift equipment onto a truck to be transported to the Secondary Entrance.

Timing

  • Drill rig will move across the intersection on Thursday May 25, 2017 between 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Crews may begin to ready the sites and equipment for movement as early as 7:00 a.m.
  • This work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Nearby businesses and residents can expect to hear noise caused by construction vehicles and equipment.
  • Pedestrians and motorists can expect delays when travelling through the intersection.
  • A Paid Duty Officer, flag person and support vehicles will be present to direct traffic.
  • As always, please take care when travelling near construction zones.
