What Work is Taking Place?
As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews continue with Bell infrastructure relocation work along Eglinton Avenue East between Pharmacy Avenue and Warden Avenue.
Starting as early as Monday, November 19 and lasting for approximately five (5) weeks, there will be daily driveway access restrictions at the western driveway along Eglinton Avenue East of 1920 Eglinton Ave East, near to International Clothiers in order to safely carry out the work.
Hours of Work
- Work is expected to begin as early as Monday, November 19, 2018, and take approximately five (5) weeks to complete.
- This work may take place between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- Western driveway access will be restricted daily during this work.
- Steel plates will be installed at nights to allow access via the western driveway.
- Signage will be installed to direct customers to open driveways to access the property.
- Nearby businesses and residents can expect noise from excavators, bobcats, trucks and other construction equipment caused by utilities relocation activity.
- For safety, fencing, dust cloth, barriers, and scaffolding may be erected around work zones.
- Noise, dust and lighting from construction activity can be expected.
- Expect delays when traveling near work zones.
