What Work is Taking Place?
As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be conducting Bell infrastructure relocation work along Eglinton Avenue East between Pharmacy Avenue and Warden Avenue.
Starting as early as Wednesday, November 7 and lasting for approximately three (3) weeks, there will be daily driveway access restrictions at the eastern driveway along Eglinton Ave East of 1900 Eglinton Ave East, near the Starbucks and Moore’s entrance in order to safely carry out the work.
Hours of Work
- Work is expected to begin as early as Wednesday, November 7, 2018, and take approximately three (3) weeks to complete.
- This work may take place between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- Eastern driveway access will be restricted during this work.
- Alternate driveway access will be at the western driveway during this work.
- Signage will be installed to direct customers to open driveway to access the property.
- Nearby businesses and residents can expect noise from excavators, bobcats, trucks and other construction equipment caused by utilities relocation activity.
- For safety, fencing, dust cloth, barriers, and scaffolding may be erected around work zones.
- Noise, dust and lighting from construction activity can be expected.
- Expect delays when traveling near work zones within the condo parking lot.
