Driveway Asphalt Works from Rosemount Drive to Kennedy Road, North side of Eglinton Ave E - November 30, 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

Crews will be asphalting driveways along the north side of Eglinton Ave E on Monday November 30, beginning as early as 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Each driveway will be closed for a few hours to complete the works, then crews will move onto the next driveway. Upon completion, crews will reopen driveways as work progresses along the north side of Eglinton Ave E. Access to businesses and properties via alternative driveways or partial driveway openings will always be maintained. No additional traffic restrictions will be in place. 

What to Expect

Each driveway should take approximately four hours to complete. Upon completion, crews will reopen the driveway and move onto the next one. Noise from construction equipment and crews can be expected. No additional lane closures will be required. 

HOURS OF WORK

• Work will begin on Monday November 30 from as early as 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

• The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion

• Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances

• This work may be longer or shorter than expected

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Rolling driveway closures along the north side of Eglinton Ave E between Rosemount Dr and Kennedy Rd

• North-south crosswalk on the east side of Ionview and Eglinton intersection will be closed.

• Access to properties will be maintained

• No additional traffic impacts

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• There will be no changes to existing pedestrian routes

• All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations

OTHER IMPACTS

• Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be noise around the work area
