WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

On Saturday July 28, 2018, crews will pour the first roof slab at Chaplin Station.  More than 570 cubic meters of concrete will be poured into the northeast station box area on Eglinton Avenue West, east of Chaplin Crescent, forming the roof of the future station. Concrete trucks will be staged along the median on Chaplin Crescent, north of Eglinton Avenue West.

To ensure a continuous pour and minimize the impact to traffic, crews will arrive onsite in the early morning.

TIMING

  • Saturday July 28, 2018, beginning at 5:00 a.m. for approximately 8 hours

  • This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Noise from concrete trucks, a generator, compressor and other equipment can be expected.

  • Heavy truck traffic on Chaplin Crescent and Eglinton Avenue West can be expected.

  • Pedestrians and motorists can expect delays when travelling through the intersection

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Trucks will be staged along the median on Chaplin Crescent north of Eglinton Avenue West.
