What Work is Taking Place?
A large drill rig will be moved from the work zone on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East, east of Don Mills Road, to the northeast corner of Eglinton Avenue East at Ferrand Drive. The drill rig is required for piling work in support of the future Science Centre Station.
Timing
- Friday, February 10, 2017 from approximately 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
- In the event that work is not able to proceed on February 10, the alternative work date is February 13, 2017.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- To minimize traffic disruption crews will work in the early morning to perform this work.
- Lane reductions on Eglinton Ave. just east and west of Gervais Dr./Ferrand Dr. will be in effect.
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect to hear movement of the drill rig, similar to that of a truck moving/backing up.
Traffic and Pedestrian Details
- A minimum of one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained.
