What Work is Taking Place?

Crews at Avenue Station will continue construction of the Eglinton Streetscape and Cycle Track through early 2023. This includes road restoration, sidewalk construction, utility upgrades, and bike lane installations. These activities are currently taking place at Lascelles Boulevard and Eglinton Avenue. To facilitate this work safely, traffic on Eglinton Avenue will remain one lane in each direction between Lascelles Boulevard and Colin Avenue. Traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue between Colin Avenue and Duplex Avenue will be reinstated. Works at the Lascelles-Eglinton intersection are expected to continue through mid-January 2023.

What to Expect

Road restoration and permanent utility installations will take place in the centre of Eglinton Avenue at Lascelles Boulevard. Noise from construction activity, including trucks, breaking of concrete and asphalt, utility work, and use of heavy equipment can be expected. Construction vehicles and trucks will stage within work zones and traffic tapers. Traffic barrels, fencing, and signage will be in place to delineate work zones. Occasionally, use of a hydro-vacuum truck, jackhammer and/or compaction roller will be required. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.
