What & Where: As part of current work to construction an emergency exit building near Petman Avenue, crews will be relocating Toronto Hydro utilities on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East, between Cardiff Road and Forman Avenue. This work will occur in two stages and will temporarily block some driveways on the north side of Eglinton. Vehicles will be able to access the above noted addresses, at all times.
Stage 1: Crews will first be relocating Toronto Hydro utilities on the north curb lane of Eglinton Avenue East, between Petman Avenue and Forman Avenue. In the order listed, this construction will temporarily block driveways for approximately a week at:
420, 412, 398 Eglinton Avenue East
Stage 2: After the completion of stage one, crews will then relocate Toronto Hydro utilities on the north curb lane of Eglinton Avenue East, between Petman Avenue and Cardiff Road. In the order listed, this construction will temporarily block driveways for approximately a week at:
440, 460, 490 Eglinton Avenue East
Driveways will be reinstated by the end of the workday, each day. We will work with contractors on-site to complete necessary work and to minimize any issues.
When: Stage one will start as early as Thursday, March 19, 2015 between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and last for approximately a week. Stage two will follow and also last approximately a week. Some work may be rescheduled or adjusted due to weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Details
This utility relocation work will require short-term, rolling lane restrictions on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East between west of Cardiff Road to east of Forman Avenue.
Work Hours
This work will be carried out between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., 7 days a week, when required. The contractor will not always work during the extended hours, but may do so at its discretion.
