What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Friday September 24, 2021, four escalators will be installed at Avenue Station’s Main Entrance. During this work, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced periodically to one westbound lane at the Main Entrance to provide space for a crane to lift the escalators into place. This work is expected to take place between 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for approximately five (5) days.
What to Expect
Noise from construction equipment, including a crane and trucks, can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Friday September 24, 2021, between 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., for approximately five (5) days
- This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one westbound lane at the Main Entrance
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work
TRANSIT INFORMATION
- Access to TTC will be maintained at all times
