What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Friday May 28 and Saturday May 29, 2021, two escalators will be installed at Oakwood Station’s Main Entrance. Using a crane, crews will lift two escalators into the Main Entrance shaft. This work will begin as early as 6:00 a.m. and may take up to 12 hours to complete.

To allow space for the crane, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction, while this work takes place. During the lift, for safety purposes, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction, for approximately two (2) hours during each day of work. What to Expect

A crane will be placed at Oakwood Station's Main Entrance. The crane will lift two pre-assembled escalators into Oakwood Station's Main Entrance shaft. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place. Noise from construction activity including trucks, material deliveries, and crane movements can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Friday May 28 and Saturday May 29, 2021

• Work will begin as early as 6:00 a.m. and may take up to 12 hours to complete

• Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction, while this work takes place

• Eglinton Avenue West will be further reduced to one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction, for approximately two (2) hours each day

• Times Road will remain closed during this work

• Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work
