What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday October 7th, 2019 until Friday October 18th, 2019, crews at Fairbank station will be working from 7:00am until 1:00am, Monday to Friday, to facilitate deep excavation works. Trucks will be loaded with excavated materials at the Main Entrance work zone and taken offsite. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while this work takes place.  

Crews will endeavour to minimize disruption as best as possible while this work takes place. 

Hours of Work

  • As early as Monday October 7th, 2019 until Friday October 18th, 2019.
  • Crews will be working Monday to Friday, as early as 7:00am until 1:00am.

What to Expect

 

  • Crews will be performing excavation activities which includes loading trucks with excavated material. Residents can expect to see three (3) trucks and one (1) excavator for the duration of the works.
  • Increased truck traffic travelling through the area.
  • In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.

 

Traffic Details

  • The pedestrian route on the west side of Dufferin will remain closed. The north, south, and east crosswalk will remain open.  
  • Access to properties along Vaughan Rd, Eglinton Ave W and Dufferin St will be maintained. 
  • No impacts to TTC bus service.
