What Work is Taking Place?
Crews continue to connect the new sanitary sewer to the existing sanitary sewer infrastructure, as part of infrastructure upgrade for the new Science Centre Station. Work commenced as early as Tuesday, May 22, 2018 and was estimated to take approximately two (2) weeks to complete. However, crews have encountered some unforeseen issues.
In order to complete the work, crews will require an additional week starting Sunday, June 3rd, 2018 and will continue until approximately Friday, June 8th, 2018.
The connection is being made from north to south across Eglinton Avenue East, just east of Don Mills Road, extending from Gervais Drive on the north to Ferrand Drive on the south.
The work will be completed in stages and take place within the overnight period to reduce the impact on pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists, in addition to the surrounding communities.
