Interested in a fun-filled family activity for this weekend? Join us at the Fairbank Village B.I.A. for their annual Multicultural Fest. The B.I.A. is closing down Eglinton Avenue from Dufferin Street west to Chamberlain to bring you another fabulous, free, multicultural event for the summer.
What was once a tiny parking lot event with a 3,000 person attendance has grown to a full blown street festival that closes down five city blocks and now entertains over 20,000 people from all over the G.T.A. and surrounding areas. This year they have added more rides, a designated Kid’s Zone, the Amazing Circus and an entertainment lineup featuring: Sol de Cuba, Imbayakunas, Erin McCallum & Everglo as well as 10 year old singing sensation Elissia Mariah!
Don’t forget to check out the “Sidewalk Sale Extravaganza” offering the greatest shopping deals! A great opportunity to sample foods from the continental restaurants offering delicious cuisine from various countries including The Philippines, Venezuela and Portugal.
The festival runs from: noon to 11:00pm on Saturday, June 22nd and noon to 9:00pm on Sunday, June 23rd. Our community liaisons will be on hand between noon and 7 pm both days to answer questions about The Crosstown and other upcoming Toronto transit projects. Hope to see you there!
