Announcing the winning names of the Tunnel Boring Machine Naming Contest...
We’re excited to announce the winning names of the tunnel boring machines (TBMs) for The Crosstown! The names were announced today by Metrolinx CEO Bruce McCuaig, Transportation Minister Glen Murray and MPP Laura Albanese. The winning names are Dennis and Lea, representing the Mount Dennis and Leaside neighbourhoods, and Don and Humber, representing the rivers. Read more »

Light rail vehicle mock up is now at Gage Park in Brampton!
The light rail vehicle mock up tour is on the move and is making a stop at Gage Park in Brampton from Wednesday, May 15th to Wednesday, May 22nd. Manufactured by Bombardier, the vehicle will be used in the four new light rail transit (LRT) lines that Metrolinx is building across Toronto.
The LRV mock-up represents a portion of the actual vehicle. Visitors will get a chance to check out this fast, reliable and comfortable vehicle, learn more about upcoming transit projects in Ontario. Read more »
Crosstown Community Liaisons participate in Jane's Walk
On Saturday May 4th, Crosstown Community Liaison staff participated in a Jane's Walk in Mount Dennis. Eighty people from across the city came took part in a tour of the upcoming infrastructure changes to the neighbourhood led by the Mount Dennis Community Association and the Mount Dennis Weston Network.
