Crews will remove existing traffic signals and install temporary traffic signals on Eglinton Avenue East between Leslie Street and Kennedy Road, to make way for the construction of future surface stops for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.

Pedestrian Safety near Construction Sites
The tunnelled section between Brentcliffe Road and Black Creek Drive is complete, and last year, construction activities began at all 15 underground stations including Kennedy Station. The preparatory works at the at-grade portion of the line, between Brentcliffe Road and Kennedy Station, also started this summer. Since the end of school, many work zones have been set up for construction and some major intersections along Eglinton Avenue have changed.

Hydro Ductbank Connection Works at Ferrand Drive for Science Centre Station
What Work is Taking Place?
As part of ongoing utility relocation work for the future Science Centre Station, crews will be conducting hydro infrastructure work in the vicinity of Eglinton Avenue East and Ferrand Drive beginning as soon as early August 2017. Construction of hydro duct banks and installation of electrical equipment will be required to provide power to the station box. Read more »

Median Removals on Eglinton Avenue East for Surface Stops
The surface section of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT will run down the centre of Eglinton Avenue East in dedicated transit lanes at street level. To prepare for the construction of the surface section, crews are working to get the roadway ready.
Setting up the construction work zones in the roadway will require changes to how car and truck, bus, and pedestrian traffic flows along Eglinton Avenue East and the associated intersections where future stops will be located. To conduct this work safely lane reductions will be required. Read more »
