What Work is Taking Place?
From Friday, August 6 to Monday, August 9, 2021, crews will perform road restoration works on Eglinton Avenue East between Ferrand and Wynford Drives. Road restoration will take place on a 24-hour basis.
To accommodate this work, traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected between Don Mills Rd and Swift Drive. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue East. Traffic Details
Friday August 6 & Saturday, August 7, 2021
- Traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue East, north of the guideway, will be closed between Don Mills Rd and Swift Drive
- Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected south, with a crossover at Swift Drive and Gervais Drive
Sunday August 8 & Monday, August 9, 2021
- Traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue East, south of the guideway, will be closed between Don Mills Rd and Swift Drive
- Eastbound traffic on Eglinton will be redirected north, with a crossover at Swift Drive and Gervais Drive.
What to Expect
This work will coincide with City of Toronto maintenance work on the DVP - all DVP ramps will be closed for the duration of this work. Noise from construction activity including trucks, asphalt removals, paving, and compacting. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present, while this work takes place.
Hours of Work
- Beginning Friday, August 6, 2021 at approximately 9:00 pm through to Monday, August 9, 2021 at 5:00 am
- Work will take place on a 24-hour basis
- Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances
Pedestrian Details
- There will be no changes to pedestrian routes
TTC Impacts
- TTC stops located within closed lanes of Eglinton Avenue East will be temporarily closed for the duration of the lane closures.
- The eastbound TTC bus stop on Eglinton Ave will be temporarily relocated to the east side of Swift Drive.
- No TTC detours will be in effect
