What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday, October 17, 2022, Streetscape and road restoration works will resume on the south side of Eglinton Avenue between Lascelles Boulevard and Colin Avenue. To accommodate this work, traffic on Eglinton Avenue will shift to the north side of the street. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue while this work takes place. Construction of Streetscape and road restoration between Eastbourne Avenue and Lascelles Boulevard will take place simultaneously. What to Expect

Utility work, road and sidewalk restoration, and landscaping will take place on the south side of Eglinton Avenue between Eastbourne and Colin Avenues. Noise from construction activity, including trucks, breaking of concrete and asphalt, utility work, and use of heavy equipment can be expected. Construction vehicles and trucks will stage within work zones and traffic tapers. Traffic barrels, fencing, and signage will be in place to delineate work zones. Occasionally, use of a hydro-vacuum truck, jackhammer and/or compaction roller will be required.  Access to businesses, properties, and TTC will be maintained. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. 

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Monday, October 17, 2022  
  • This configuration will remain in place for approximately six (6) weeks
  • Work will take place Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Overnight work may be required
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Traffic on Eglinton Avenue will shift to the north side of the street between Lascelles Blvd and Colin Ave
  • One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue while this work takes place

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • All sidewalks and crosswalks are expected to remain open
  • Temporary pedestrian rerouting may be in effect

TRANSIT INFORMATION

  • The eastbound bus stop on the south side of Eglinton Ave, between Lascelles Blvd and Colin Ave, will be relocated further east
  • Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
