What Work is Happening?
The Eglinton Crosstown includes a 10-kilometre underground portion, between Weston Road and Laird Drive, where 15 below-grade stations are under construction. Eleven will be built using a “cut-and cover” method and four, including Avenue Station, are going to be “mined.”

Toronto Hydro Relocation Work at Cedarvale Station
What Work is Taking Place?
To accommodate upcoming shoring activities for the new Cedarvale LRT Station, crews will be relocating a Toronto hydro infrastructure from underground ducting to overhead cables. The work will involve trenching and removing the existing duct banks, and installing new overhead hydro cables. Read more »

As part of construction of the future Kennedy Station, crews will be relocating storm and sanitary utilities in the vicinity of Ionview Road and Eglinton Avenue East, including performing an east-west crossing across Ionview Road. Read more »
Overnight Water Site Service Connections at Eglinton Station
What Work is Taking Place?
In order to prepare for construction of Eglinton Station, crews have relocated water mains and sewers at the Yonge-Eglinton intersection to allow for piling and excavation works. In order to complete the next stage of the work, crews will be connecting the new temporary main with the existing site service connections. The following properties may lose water service during the connections:

Shoring at Chaplin Station Main Entrance
WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?
Support of excavation (or shoring) continues at Chaplin Station. At the Main Entrance site, located on the northeast corner of Chaplin and Eglinton, there are some piles that remain to be installed.
As early as Wednesday, March 14, crews will begin piling activities at the Main Entrance. The drill will cross Eglinton to the Main Entrance site as early as Monday, March 12.

Overnight Road Repair Work Starting March 12 - Traffic Lane Reductions at Don Mills & Eglinton
What Work is Taking Place?
Ongoing road maintenance continues around the Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East intersection. The rebuilding of catch basins on Eglinton Avenue East between the DVP and Don Mills Road will start on Monday, March 12, 2018 for approximately one week.
To minimize traffic disruption for the community, transit users and local businesses, this work is being done overnight.
