Large Deliveries at East Don River Bridge

What Work is Taking Place?

The East Don River and Wynford Drive Bridges are currently being rehabilitated as part of the construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. Works include deck replacement, reinforcement and repairs to the abutments and beams to both bridges.

To facilitate the safe and timely delivery of steel plates for girders to the construction sites for the East Don River Bridge, starting as early as Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11 AM. Traffic interruptions can be expected while this delivery takes place. Read more »

UPDATE: Upcoming Traffic & Pedestrian Changes at Eglinton Station

What Work is Taking Place?

Support of excavation work, also known as shoring, has commenced to make way for the future Eglinton interchange station. This work will include pile installation, jet grouting and road deck installation. Shoring at the TTC bus depot and along south side of Eglinton has been complete. The work is carried out along the north side of Eglinton.

The next phase (depicted below) will take approximately 3-4 months to complete. The entire shoring process will take approximately twenty-four (24) months to complete. Read more »

Upcoming Traffic Changes at Kennedy and Eglinton Intersection in Support of Shoring

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the continued support of excavation works (shoring) and utility relocations for the future Kennedy Station, traffic staging at the intersection of Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue East will be changing in September.

Shoring began in April 2018 and will continue in phases at the intersection. Read more »

UPDATED: Support of Excavation Works at the North End of Kennedy GO Station Platform as Part of Eglinton Crosstown LRT

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of continued support of excavation works (shoring) for the future Kennedy Station, crews will continue work on the north end of the GO platform as part of the GO Transit improvements.

To facilitate these improvements, installation of support of excavation are also being made to the GO Transit Stouffville Corridor at Kennedy GO Station starting as early as Saturday, September 8, 2018. Read more »

Avenue Station Construction Updates


Mining operations are underway at both the Secondary Entrance and the Main Entrance sites. Mining occurs on a 24 hour schedule. Starting in early September, mining will occur on a 24 hour schedule, 7 days a week. Read the construction notice for more detail.

UPDATED: Pre-cast Concrete Installation for Facility Services Building Construction at Eglinton Station

Watermain Lining & Valve Installations at Oakwood Station - September & October 2018


To increase the durability of local watermains during mining operations at Oakwood Station, sections in the vicinity of station construction zone will be lined. Lining of the watermain is a minimally invasive method of repair and rehabilitation that is commonly used throughout the City of Toronto. Using this process allows us to complete the work without excavating the entire watermain through the road.  As part of the watermain work, a number of valves will also be installed along Eglinton Avenue between Times Road and Alameda. UPDATED: Wilson Brook Culvert Work Begins East of Future Sloane Stop

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the ongoing works to build the LRT system along Eglinton Avenue, work on the Wilson Brook Culvert will be taking place on the south and north side of Eglinton Avenue in front of 1730 Eglinton Avenue East. This work is expected to begin as early as Wednesday, August 16 to December 15, 2018.

Crews will be building a temporary storm drain line, as well as excavating and replacing the storm water culvert under Eglinton Ave East. Read more »
