Mid-Block Guideway Work at the East of Birchmount Road

 

What Work is Taking Place?

On Sunday November 3, 2019, Rosemount Drive will be closed north of Eglinton Avenue East for approximately six (6) weeks to facilitate guideway construction for the future Eglinton Crosstown LRT surface stops.  Guideway construction includes, cutting and removal of asphalt, excavation, installation of subgrade materials, duct banks installation and track drainage, track slab and stops. Permanent Removal of Left Turn Lanes on Eglinton Avenue East at Birchmount Road

 

What Work is Taking Place?

In order to accommodate the future Birchmount Stop construction,  the  left turn lanes on Eglinton Avenue East at Birchmount Road will be  removed.

The westbound left turn lane on Eglinton Avenue East at Birchmount Road will be removed as early as November 13, 2019. 

The eastbound left turn lane on Eglinton Avenue East at Birchmount Road will be removed as early as December 9, 2019. Read more »

Laneway Closure for Overnight Concrete Pour at Forest Hill Station - Nov 8, 2019

On Friday November 8, 2019 beginning at 4:00 a.m. crews will close the Hilltop Road-Bathurst Street laneway behind the Forest Hill Station Secondary Entrance to conduct a concrete pour. The concrete will form the exterior wall of the Secondary Entrance. The pour is one of a series of concrete pours that will take place in 2019 to construct the Secondary Entrance. The pedestrian walkway around the Secondary Entrance site will be closed while the pour takes place. Once the pour is complete, the pedestrian walkway around the Secondary Entrance site will re-open.
