WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

To facilitate the ongoing piling activity at the future Kennedy Station, the signals at Eglinton/North Service Road will be temporarily deactivated this Monday, January 7th and the intersection will be operated with PDOs.

This will enable crews to install two piles that conflict with the location of a span wire. The operation will take place during off-peak hours to reduce impact to drivers and TTC services.

TIMING

  • The work will occur on Monday January 7, 2019.
  • Work will begin at 10:00 a.m and take approximately four (4) hours.

WHAT TO EXPECT AND TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

  • The intersection will be operated with Paid Duty Officers (PDOs).
  • There are no impacts to traffic lanes during this work.
  • Intersection at Eglinton/North Service Road will be controlled by PDOs between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Pedestrian routes will remain open during this work.
  • Pedestrians and road users can expect delays when travelling through the work zone.
  • As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
