What Work is Taking Place?
In support of construction of the future At-Grade stops, crews will be conducting subsurface utility engineering (SUE) investigation work along Eglinton Avenue East between Birchmount Road and Rosemount Drive.
Crews will drill bore holes and use a hydro-vacuum truck within the City’s right-of-way and roadway to determine the location and depth of existing underground utilities for design purposes.
Once the work is complete, roads will be backfilled and restored accordingly.
Hours of Work
- Beginning as early as Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Work will be underway until late January 2019.
- Permitted construction hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- Residents and businesses can expect to see heavy trucks and equipment in the area as crews move from one bore hole to the next.
- Residents and businesses can expect to hear noise related to the use of saw cutters, hydro-vacuum trucks, drills, and other construction equipment.
