What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Tuesday, August 2, 2022, the laydown area in the center of Eglinton Avenue, between Taunton Road and Rawlinson Avenue, will be reduced. Two eastbound traffic lanes and one westbound traffic lane will be reinstated on Eglinton Avenue, east of Taunton Road. This traffic configuration will remain in place for approximately two (2) weeks.
What to Expect
Noise from construction activities, including material loading, hammering, use of a crane, can be expected while the traffic changes are being implemented. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present, while this work takes place.
HOURS OF WORK
• As early as Tuesday, August 2, 2022 for approximately two (2) weeks.
• Overnight work may be required to implement the traffic changes.
• This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
• Two eastbound traffic lanes and one westbound traffic lane will be reinstated on Eglinton Avenue, east of Taunton Road.
• The northbound left turn from Taunton Road onto Eglinton Avenue will remain restricted.
• No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work.
• Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
