Lane Shift for Wet Utility Connection Works at Avenue Station - As early as April 3, 2023

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday, April 3, 2023, crews at Avenue Station will begin wet utility connection works on Eglinton Avenue West between Avenue Road and Oriole Parkway. To facilitate this work, eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will shift to the south side of the street and construction will move to the center of Eglinton Avenue West. This work will take place in stages, starting between Highbourne Road and Oriole Parkway, and progressing west towards Avenue Road. HOURS OF WORK

• Starting as early as Monday, April 3, 2023, for approximately two (2) weeks; each stage will take approximately one (1) week to complete.

• Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Stage One: Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will shift to the south side of the street between Highbourne Road and Oriole Parkway.

• Stage Two:

o Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will shift to the south side of the street between Avenue and Highbourne Roads.

o Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will shift back to the center of the street between Highbourne Road and Oriole Parkway.

• Upon completion of the works, eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reinstated to two lanes between Avenue and Highbourne Roads.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• Pedestrians will be routed back onto the sidewalk between Avenue and Highbourne Roads during stage two and following the completion of the works.

TRANSIT INFORMATION

• The eastbound bus stop will remain in its temporary position west of Avenue Road (refer to map).

• Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
