What Work is Taking Place?
On Monday June 8, 2020, the Bathurst-Hilltop laneway will be closed to through pedestrian traffic while crews perform a concrete pour. The concrete will form the walls of the Secondary Entrance structure. Property access will be maintained. Once the pour is complete, the laneway will re-open to pedestrian traffic.
Hours of Work
- Monday June 8, 2020 from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

What to Expect
- Property access, including access to private laneway parking, will be maintained
- Storefronts can be access from Eglinton Ave W on either side of the Secondary Entrance
- Overnight/early morning noise from construction as well as site lighting can be expected
- 10+ concrete trucks expected per hour during the concrete pour
Traffic & Pedestrian Details
- Pedestrian through-traffic in the laneway will not be permitted during this work
- The laneway remains closed to vehicular through-traffic through 2020
- The sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Ave will remain open on either side of the Secondary Entrance
- Pedestrians can continue north to Wembley Rd to cross Eglinton Ave on the north side
Travelling Smart during Construction
Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
