CANCELLED: Overnight Laneway Closure for Louvre Installations at Oakwood Station’s Main Entrance - January 19, 2022

What Work is Taking Place?

From Wednesday January 19, 2022, crews at Oakwood Station will work overnight within the laneway north of the Main Entrance site to facilitate louvre installations. The laneway will be closed to through-traffic for approximately five (5) nights to facilitate these activities safely.

This work is expected to take place periodically Monday to Saturday between 6:30 p.m. – 2:30 a.m. The laneway will reopen to through-traffic at the end of each night’s work. Property access via the laneway will be maintained at all times. 

What to Expect

There will be no through-access for vehicles while the laneway closure is in effect. Use of construction equipment, such as a telehandler and forklift, will be required to complete this work. Noise from construction activities - including hammering, material loading, and crane use - can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the laneway.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Wednesday January 19, 2022, between 6:30 p.m. – 2:30 a.m., for approximately five (5) nights
• Crews will work Monday to Saturday
• This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• The laneway north of Oakwood Station’s Main Entrance site will be closed to through-traffic while work is taking place
• All work zones on Eglinton Avenue West and Times Road will remain in place

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• All pedestrian routes are expected to remain the same
• Short-term pedestrian rerouting through the laneway may be in effect
