What Work is Taking Place?

On Thursday June 25, crews will perform a large concrete pour to form the final invert slab of the future station’s track floor! Work will begin as early as 5:00 a.m. and the pour will be ongoing for approximately 12 hours. Concrete pumps will be placed within the secondary entrance work zone on the northwest corner of the intersection, and within the main entrance work zone in the southeast corner of the intersection. Concrete trucks will be staged on Eglinton Avenue West, west of Shortt St, and on Dufferin St, south of Eglinton Ave West. The laneway parallel to Eglinton Ave West between Dynevor Rd and Dufferin St will remain open. Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave West will remain open while work takes place.

  • Thursday June 25, 2020
  • The concrete pour will begin as early as 5:00 a.m. and last for approximately 12 hours
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected

What to Expect

  • Concrete trucks will be staged on Eglinton Ave West, west of Shortt St, and on Dufferin St, south of Eglinton Ave West
  • Noise from concrete trucks can be expected
  • Local and pedestrian access will be maintained
  • Property access will be maintained
  • Expect delays while travelling near work zones

Traffic & Pedestrian Details

  • The pedestrian routes at the intersection will remain the same
  • Access to properties along Vaughan Rd, Eglinton Ave W and Dufferin St will be maintained

Transit Information

  • No impacts to TTC bus service

Travelling Smart during Construction

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
