What Work is Taking Place?

On Saturday, April 28, 2018, a large tower crane will be delivered to Science Centre Station. The tower crane will be erected within the existing construction zone on Eglinton Avenue East, west of Don Mills Road.

The tower crane will arrive at the construction site in pieces on tractor-trailer rigs. Due to the some complexity involved, these deliveries will take place over the course of the day starting as early as 5:00 a.m. Trucks will enter the construction site from the south side of Eglinton Avenue East through the west gate. Traffic interruptions can be expected while these deliveries take place as well as during the erection of the crane.

As deliveries are made, crews will begin installing the crane structure. Installation work will take place on a 24-hour schedule and is expected to take approximately one (1) day to complete.

Hours of Work

  • Work will begin as early as Saturday, April 28 and the crane installation will take approximately one (1) day to complete.
  • Installation work will take place on a 24-hour schedule.
