What Work is Taking Place?
- To prepare for the future construction of Science Centre Station, crews will remove existing medians on Don Mills Road, north and south of Eglinton Avenue and on Eglinton Avenue, east and west of Don Mills Road.
Timing
- Work is expected to begin as early as August 11, 2016 and will take approximately two weeks to complete
- Work will take place between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances
What to Expect
- Works will be completed in a sequence designed to minimize traffic and pedestrian impacts.
- Removal of the center medians will be followed by removal of the medians on Eglinton Avenue East, east and west of Don Mills Road.
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect to hear noise related to drilling, saw-cutting, and the use of heavy equipment.
Traffic Details
- Intermittent lane closures on Eglinton Avenue East and Don Mills Road will be required during this work.
- A Paid Duty Officer will be present for work near the intersection when necessary.
- Pedestrian and property access will be maintained.
- As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
