What: Monitoring equipment continues to be installed along Eglinton Avenue West. This equipment will measure important data related to the work of our tunnel boring machines underground. These measurements will allow construction crews to adjust tunnelling activities along Eglinton Avenue West if needed.

Where: The equipment will continue to be installed within the roadway along Eglinton Avenue West from Warren Road to Castle Knock Avenue.   While this equipment is being installed, crews will be working within one lane of traffic with rolling lane closures to drill and install monitoring equipment.

When: Tuesday, January 5 to Thursday, January 7 2016, beginning at 7:00 a.m. and to be complete by 5:00 p.m.

Traffic Details

  • Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction near the work zone and temporary lane closures will be required to allow crews to perform work safely
  • Traffic will be diverted around the work zone, separated by traffic cones
  • There will be no street parking near the affected areas during this time.

Pedestrians:

Pedestrians will not be affected by this work. Access to all stores and businesses in the area will remain open during this installation. As always, please take care when travelling near construction areas.
