New Traffic Configuration at Rosemount Drive Road and Eglinton Avenue East

What Work is Taking Place

As early as Saturday November 30, 2019, a new traffic configuration will be implemented at Rosemount Drive and Eglinton Avenue East to facilitate construction of the future surface stops and guideway. Westbound traffic will be shifted north of the work zone. Left turns will remain prohibited at the Rosemount Drive Intersection. There will be no north-south through traffic on Rosemount Drive. 

The new traffic configuration will be implemented as early as November 30, 2019

Hours of Work

• The new traffic configuration will be implemented as early as November 30, 2019 and will last until approximately December 16, 2019

• The Guideway work located in the center of the Rosemount Drive intersection began on November 3, 2019 and will last approximately six (6) weeks

• This configuration may be in place shorter or longer than expected

• Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances

Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

• Rosemount Drive north of Eglinton Avenue East will remain closed, local access will be maintained

• Southbound traffic on Rosemount Drive will be diverted north of Eglinton Avenue East

• Westbound traffic will be shifted north of the work zone on Eglinton Avenue East

• Westbound right and left turns will be prohibited

• North-south through traffic on Rosemount Drive will be prohibited

• Northbound left turns will be prohibited, northbound traffic must turn right 

• Eastbound lanes will be shifted south of the guideway work zone at Ionview Road

• Westbound left turns are prohibited at Ionview Road

• Both westbound and eastbound left turns onto Rosemount Drive will be prohibited

• The northwest corner of Rosemount Drive and Eglinton Ave East will remain closed

• A minimum of one lane of eastbound and westbound through traffic will be maintained during this work 

• Emergency services access will be maintained

TTC Impacts

• All temporary TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations.

• Relocation and re-routing of bus stops and buses is done in consultation with TTC to ensure construction can continue safely, while minimizing impact on the community and customers
