Nightly Road Closure between Weston Road and Black Creek Dr - October 7, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Thursday October 7, 2021, crews will be preforming construction activities to widen the GO platform bridge.  To facilitate this work safely Eglinton Avenue West will be closed between Weston Road and Black Creek Drive at night. Eastbound traffic will be detoured south on Weston Road. Westbound traffic will be detoured south on Black Creek Drive. Closures are expected to be in place between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am, for approximately two (2) nights.

What to Expect

Noise from construction activities can be expected.  Expect delays while travelling through the area.  A paid duty officer will be present, while this work takes place.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Thursday October 7, 2021, for approximately two (2) nights.
• This work is expected to take place between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
• Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
• This work may be longer or shorter than expected. 

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Eglinton Avenue West will be closed nightly between Weston Road and Black Creek Drive.
• Eastbound traffic will be detoured south on Weston Road.
• Westbound traffic will be detoured south on Black Creek Drive.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• The north-south crosswalk on the east side of Eglinton Avenue West and Weston Road will be closed for the duration of this work.
• The east-west crosswalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West and Black Creek Drive, and the north-south crosswalks on the east and west sides of Eglinton Avenue West and Black Creek Drive will be closed for the duration of this work.

TRANSIT INFORMATION

• The eastbound TTC bus stops on Eglinton Ave W will be temporarily relocated to the southeast side of Eglinton Avenue West and Weston Road, and the east side of Black Creek Drive between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am on the specified dates [TTC route 32 / 32D / 332 WB]
• The westbound TTC bus stops on Eglinton Avenue West will be temporarily relocated to the southwest side of Eglinton Avenue West at Black Creek Drive, and the west side of Weston Road between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am on the specified dates [TTC route 32 / 332 WB]
• The southbound bound TTC bus stop on Black Creek Dr will be temporarily relocated to the southeast side of Eglinton Avenue West and Black Creek Drive between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am on the specified dates [TTC routes 71 SB & 171]
• The southbound TTC bus stop on Weston Road will be temporarily relocated to the north side of Lambton Avenue between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am on the specified dates [TTC route 71 SB]
• The northbound TTC bus stop on Weston Road will be temporarily relocated to the south side of Eglinton Avenue West between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am on the specified dates [TTC route 171]
