What Work is Taking Place?

As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will install permanent shelters at the Golden Mile stop north and south platform. North platform installation will begin as early as October 14, 2020 for approximately three days and south platform installation will follow for approximately three days.  

 

What to Expect

A crane will be installed within the guideway work zone to facilitate shelter installation. The structures will be delivered and lifted into place by the crane. Concrete works will also take place as part of shelter installation. Daily lane closures will be required at the work zone. 

 

HOURS OF WORK

Work will begin as early as October 14, 2020 and continue for approximately one week.  

Work may occur from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven (7) days per week, Monday through Sunday.

Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.

 

TRAFFIC DETAILS

Westbound traffic on Eglinton Ave E will be restricted to one lane west of Warden Ave for the north shelter installation. 

Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Ave E will be restricted to one lane east of Warden Ave the south shelter installation. 

 

PEDESTRIAN AND TTC DETAILS

There will no changes to existing pedestrian routes or TTC stop locations at the intersection. 

 

OTHER IMPACTS

Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be noise around the work area.
