What Work is Taking Place?

On Wednesday, June 17, 2020, crews at Mount Pleasant Station will perform overnight utility work on Eglinton Avenue East between Mount Pleasant and Taunton Roads. To perform this work safely, the eastbound lane on Eglinton Avenue East will be temporarily closed between Mount Pleasant and Taunton Roads. Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction, while this work takes place. Crews will reopen the lane once the work is complete.  

 

Work is expected to begin at 8:00 p.m. and will take approximately five (5) hours to complete. During this time, noise from construction equipment, including concrete and hydro-vacuum trucks, can be expected. Crews will endeavour to minimize disruption as much as possible. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty office will be present while this work takes place.

Travelling Smart during Construction

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
