Overview

Kennedy Station will be the terminal station at the eastern end of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT line. Kennedy Station is an interchange station with connections to the GO Transit Stouffville Line, the TTC Scarborough RT, the TTC Bloor-Danforth subway, and a TTC bus terminal.

Kennedy Station infrastructure, as it exists today, is getting upgraded to better facilitate connections. The four existing TTC commuter parking lots will be reconfigured; the existing TTC Passenger Pick-Up and Drop Off will remain, and a GO Transit Passenger Pick-Up and Drop Off will be added.

What Work Is Taking Place?

  • A reduction of parking spaces in existing Kennedy Station parking lots is required to support the construction of the future Kennedy Station infrastructure.
  • The parking spaces will be occupied for work zones and construction laydown areas to facilitate a variety of construction stages for the duration of the project.
  • Over the next four years, parking spaces will be gradually taken as they are required.

What Will Happen in 2017?

  • Parking space reductions planned for 2017 are proposed to be implemented in two phases.
  • Parking lots affected by parking space reductions in 2017 include:
    - TTC North Parking Lot
    - TTC East Parking Lot
    - TTC South Parking Lot
  • Parking space reductions implemented in 2017 will be place for approximately four years.

More specific notification will be issued closer to the implementation of the parking space reductions.

Please note: unexpected circumstances may change the proposed implementation timelines.
