What Work is Taking Place?

Starting Sunday July 19, 2020, crews will perform overnight watermain connection work in the existing work zone on the north side of Eglinton Avenue, west of Mt. Pleasant Road.  This work will take approximately one (1) week to complete.

A water shut-off is required to facilitate this work.  The water shut-off will take place overnight on Wednesday July 22, 2020.  Please carefully review the ‘Water Shut-off Details’ section to determine whether your property will be affected.

 

Water Shut-off Details

A water shut-off will take place on Wednesday July 22, 2020 beginning at 9:00 p.m. for approximately eight (8) hours.  The following properties will be affected:

220 Eglinton Ave. E

234 Eglinton Ave. E

240 Eglinton Ave. E

244 Eglinton Ave. E

250 Eglinton Ave. E

252 Eglinton Ave. E

254 Eglinton Ave. E

Please note that the water shut-off may be longer or shorter than expected.  The shut-off may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

 

Hours of Work

Watermain connection work will take place from 9:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. beginning Sunday July 19, 2020 for approximately one (1) week

 

What to Expect

A water shut-off is required to facilitate this work

Overnight noise from construction equipment, including a hydro-vacuum truck and excavator

Use of site lighting

There is no change to the current traffic configuration and pedestrian routes associated with this work

 

Travelling Smart during Construction

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
