What work is Taking Place?
- In preparation for construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be conducting clearing, grubbing and pruning activities along Eglinton Avenue East between Don Avon Drive and Rosemount Drive to prepare for the construction of the surface stops.
- As part of this work, a significant number of shrubs, bushes and trees will be removed.
- Tree protection hoarding will be placed around the trees that are being protected for the duration of the project.
- Tree protection hoarding will also be placed around some of the trees planned to be removed until removals are carried out.
- All works will be carried out with the approvals and cooperation prior to the start of the work.
Timing
- Periodically throughout 2017.
- Work will occur between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with work after hours and on weekends as required.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- Residents and businesses nearby should anticipate noise from chainsaws and wood chippers for the removal of trees.
Traffic & Pedestrian Details
- Short term lane closures may be required to complete this work.
- Pedestrian and property access will be maintained.
- As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
