What Work is Taking Place?

On Thursday May 16, 2019, crews will perform a large concrete pour at the northwest station box of Fairbank Station. The concrete will form the part of the roof of the station.  Concrete pumps will be placed in the work zone, and concrete trucks will queue in the westbound curb lane of Eglinton Avenue, east of Dufferin Street, and on Livingstone Ave between Dufferin St and the parking lot.  Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while work takes place. 

To ensure the continuity of the pour, the pour will be conducted overnight when traffic is lighter.  Crews will endeavour to minimize disruption as best as possible while this work takes place.


Hours of Work

  • Thursday May 16, 2019 beginning at 8:00 p.m. for approximately 10 hours
  • In the event of inclement weather, this work will be rescheduled

What to Expect
  • Overnight noise and lighting from construction activity
  • Construction equipment, such as pumps, will be present at the work zone
  • Several concrete trucks will access the each hour 
  • Concrete trucks will queue on Livingstone Ave, Eglinton Ave and Dufferin St
