What Work is Taking Place?
From 9:00 p.m. on Friday October 26th, 2018 until 9:00 a.m. on Saturday October 27th, 2018, crews will implement a full closure of the intersection of Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West to remove the temporary bridge installation completed in early May. Once the bridge is removed, asphalt will be removed to return the road and surrounding area to previous grade.
To minimize the duration of the closure, crews will work overnight. The intersection will be re-opened once the work is complete.
TTC buses will be detoured during the closure.
Hours of Work
- Friday October 26th, 2018 at 9:00 p.m. until Saturday October 27th, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.
Weekend Closure
Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts
- No through traffic will be permitted at the intersection for the duration of the closure.
- TTC buses will be detoured onto local streets during the closure (see routing map above).
- Overnight construction noise and site lighting can be expected.
- Property access will be maintained.
- Fencing, concrete barriers, dust cloth and scaffolding may be erected.
- Paid Duty Police Officers will be onsite to assist with traffic and pedestrian direction.
