What Work is Taking Place?

Starting Sunday July 28, crews will work overnight to preform cable splicing at the east headwall on Eglinton Avenue between Taunton Road and Mount Pleasant Road.  This work requires rolling lane closures.  Eglinton Avenue will be reduced to one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction, while this work takes place.  To minimize the impact to the travelling public, this work will be performed overnight, when traffic is lighter.  Crews will endeavour to minimize disruption as much as possible.

Hours of Work

  • Sunday July 28 for approximately three (3) weeks
  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.; Weekends: 24 hours
  • This work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

Construction Configuration

What to Expect

  • Overnight noise from construction equipment, such as and excavator, hydro-vacuum, trucks and generator, as well as site lighting can be expected.
  • Eglinton Ave will be reduced to one lane only between Taunton Rd. Ave and Mt Pleasant Rd., alternating traffic in each direction using traffic control personnel.
  • Expect delays when travelling through the intersection.
